Storage Tank Removals and Replacements
EPSYS was retained to provide services for the removal of Underground Storage Tanks (USTs) and the installation of Aboveground Storage Tanks (ASTs) for the storage of gasoline and diesel fuel. EPSYS worked in conjunction with another contractor for the removal of the USTs. EPSYS provided the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PADEP) with certified oversight, tank cleaning, and environmental closure services. The owner performed excavation, backfill, and restoration with their own equipment and personnel. EPSYS coordinated with the owner for the concrete pads and electrical services, which the owner subsequently installed.

EPSYS provided and installed two new tanks with appurtenances including a dispensing system, spill protection, overfill prevention, and leak detection. This work was completed over a period of five weeks and resulted in additional contracts for similar services at other facilities owned by the client.
