Tank Cleaning Services
EPSYS was retained to provide periodic tank cleanings on an as-needed basis to tanks storing various materials used in the manufacturing of mouthwash. These services were provided on an immediate response basis when notified that "out of spec" materials were present in storage tanks containing products such as witch hazel, sobitol, and alcohol. These tanks have a direct impact on the ability of the facility to continue manufacturing resulting in a potential for significant lost time and revenue. EPSYS routinely responded to these calls for cleaning, which frequently resulted in working irregular hours in an effort to return the facility to production.

The cleaning process for these tanks consisted of the removal and disposal of contaminated materials followed by the entry and cleaning of the vessel with cleaning agents. This process was completed with the introduction of a CIP cleaner and a final rinsing, until a neutral pH is achieved. All work was performed by OSHA 40-hour trained staff as a permit-confined space entry.
